by Klaus Groth (1819 - 1899)

Ich saß und träumte Lieder
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich saß und träumte Lieder
Am flüsternden Klavier,
Sie schwebten auf und nieder
Im Stübchen hinter mir.

Wie still ihr Schatten, -- leise
Im Takt die Wand entlang,
So schwebte nach der Weise
Ihr Schritt und ihr Gesang.

Die Sonne war gesunken,
Der Schatten war verbleicht;
Ich saß von Lieder trunken,
Von Weh' und Lust erweicht.

Wer spielte mir so lose
Ans Haar wie Abendluft?
O komm, du meine Rose,
Und Traum- und Liederduft!
