Christkind

The Christ‑child
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
He, who was once a child on earth Cometh each year to renew his birth. He comes from starry heights above, Brings to the world his wondrous love[.] He celebrates gladly with children the day, When in his crib the Christ-child lay; The Christmas tree he lights on his way, And organ and bell raise their sweetest lay. Christ-child comes to great and small, The rich and poor[,] he loves them all. So give him thanks and love him too, The Christ-child came for all of you!
