Els Tres Tambors
Language: Catalan (Català)
Available translation(s): ENG
Si n'eren tres tambors
venien de la guerra
el més petit de tots
porta un ram de rosetes
Ram, ram pataplam,
porta un ram de rosetes.
La filla del gran rei
n'ha sortit en finestra:
Tambor, el bon tambor;
si em vol dar una roseta ?
Ram, ram, pataplam...
-Donzella que l'haurà
serà l'esposa meva:
no us donaré el ram
que a vós no us puga prendre,
Ram, ram, pataplam...
M'haveu de demanar
al pare i a la mare.
Si el sí vos volen dar
per mi res no es pot perdre.
Ram, ram, pataplam...

The three drum players
Language: English  after the Catalan (Català)
There were once three drum players
that came back from war
the youngest of them all
carries a bunch of small roses
Ram, ram pataplam,
carries a bunch of small roses.
The mighty King's daughter
shows up at the window:
Drum player, oh good drum player;
would you give me a small rose?
Ram, ram, pataplam...
The maiden that will get it
is to become my bride:
and I will not hand over the bunch
unless as spouse I can take you,
Ram, ram, pataplam...
My hand you have to ask
to my father and mother.
Would they give their consent
there's nothing for me to lose.
Ram, ram, pataplam...
