Ich sehne oft nach einer Mutter mich, nach einer stillen Frau mit weißen Scheiteln . In ihrer Liebe blühte erst mein Ich; sie könnte jenen wilden Haß vereiteln , der eisig sich in meine Seele schlich. Dann säßen wir wohl beieinander dicht, ein Feuer surrte leise im Kamine. Ich lauschte, was die liebe Lippe spricht, und Friede schwebte ob der Teeterrine so wie ein Falter um das Lampenlicht.
