Im Thüringer Wald

In dem Thüringer Wald, wo die Erdbeeren blüh'n da weiss ich zwei Lippen, die würziger glüh'n. Da leuchten zwei Augen so klar und so hell, wie die Sonne sich spiegelt im silbernen Quell. Da lockt eine liebliche Stimme, das hallt wie der Vögel Gesang in dem Thüringer Wald. In dem Thüringer Wald, wo mit Augen so treu das Reh vor dem Jäger flieht zitternd und scheu, da floh mir vorüber das lieblichste Bild, mit Füssen so zierlich, mit Augen so mild. Das hat mich bezaubert, und fang ich's nicht bald, so verirr' ich mich noch in dem Thüringer Wald.
