Ein kalter Wind durchweht die Nacht, Viel' düstre Wolken ziehn, Sie ziehn in stiller Trauerpracht Am weiten Himmel hin. Ein Fleckchen dort ist frei allein Und schimmert freundlich mild, Da zeigt der Erde silberrein Ein Stern sein schönes Bild. Die Wolken spiegeln sich so treu, So trüb in meiner Brust, Warum doch fehlest du dabei Du Stern mit deiner Lust?
