Sondagmôre Dit is stil In die voorhuis, en stilte rus swaar op die bulte daar buite, en stoffies hang blink in die lug, waar die venster een gulden balk van louter luister inlaat. Daar word boeke gevat: die psalm gaan statig opruis, ruis weg oor die druipende wilgers waar die tortels selfs luister een himne aan God aan wie dit gerig is een statige himne van rus en van vrede wierook kolom dis weer stil, luid kraai die haan in sy beurtsang en nou word gepraat eers saggies, dan luider, nou word selfs gelag... die stemming verbroke die diens is verby.
