You can help us modernize! The present website has been online for a very long time and we want to bring it up to date. As of May 6, we are $2,380 away from our goal of $15,000 to fund the project. The fully redesigned site will be better for mobile, easier to read and navigate, and ready for the next decade. Please give today to join dozens of other supporters in making this important overhaul possible!

Einstens nah der Väter Schloß,
jagt ich in dem Hain,
da, verirrt vom Jägertroß,
sah ich mich allein.

Abend naht, von Angst erfasst
sucht ich mir den Pfad
als ein schöner Jägersmann
plötzlich zu mir trat.

Und der Jüngling ritterlich
leitet mich zurück,
fleht beim Scheiden minniglich
nur um einen Blick,

doch als Aug in Aug sich traf
war's um mich geschehn,
wachend sah ich wie im Schlaf
ihn nur vor mir stehn.

Heiße Liebe flammte nun
mir durch Mark und Bein
senkten sich die Augen sich
tief ins Herz hinein.

Ach der Himmel wollte nicht,
dass ich glücklich sei.
Eine Krone riss den Bund
unsrer Lieb entzwei.
