by Friedrich Adolf Krummacher (1768 - 1845)

Dürre
Language: German (Deutsch)
Leise träuft der Regen nieder
Auf das dürre, durst'ge Land,
Und es grünt und blühte wieder,
Was die Sonne schon verbrannt.
Und es klingt von allen Zweigen
Neu der Vöglein froher Chor;
Blumenduft und Lieder steigen
Wie ein Opfer frisch empor.

Laß, o Herr, den Gnadenregen
Träufeln auch in mein Gemüth,
Daß es unter solchem Segen
Wieder grünt und wieder blüht!
Und es soll in neuen Weisen
Deine Huld erhoben sein;
Herz und Lippe soll dich preisen,
Meine Harfe dir sich weih'n.
