Meine Lust ist leben
Language: German (Deutsch)
Gute Nacht, ihr Freunde,
ach, wie lebt' ich gern!
Dass die Welt so schön ist,
dank ich Gott dem Herrn.
Dass die Welt so schön ist,
Tut mir bitter weh,
Wenn ich schlafen geh!

Ach, wie möchte' ich einmal
Noch von Bergeshöhn
Meine süße Heimat
Sonnbeleuchtet sehn!
Und den Herrn umarmen
In des Himmels Näh',
Eh' ich schlafen geh.

Wie man abends Kinder
Ernst zu Bette ruft,
Führt der Herr mich schweigend
In die dunkle Gruft.
Meine Lust ist leben,
Doch sein Will' gescheh,
Dass ich schlafen geh!
