You can help us modernize! The present website has been online for a very long time and we want to bring it up to date. As of May 6, we are $2,380 away from our goal of $15,000 to fund the project. The fully redesigned site will be better for mobile, easier to read and navigate, and ready for the next decade. Please give today to join dozens of other supporters in making this important overhaul possible!

Dans les bois d'Andilly

Language: French (Français)

Pleut-il pleut-il encore,
Dites-moi mon amour ?
Sommes-nous à l'aurore,
Ou sur la fin du jour ?
Tout est crépusculaire
En mon rêve vermeil ;
Mais jour sombre ou nuit claire,
Est-il bonheur pareil !

Dans la forêt profonde,
Comme des cris humains
Les voix d'un autre monde
Gémissent aux lointains.
Partout gronde l'orage.
On sonne au loin du cor...
Aimons-nous davantage,
Endormons nous encor.

Sous un toit de verdure,
Parmi les fleurs, les fruits,
Les grands bois, la nature,
Nous écoutons les bruits
Du vent dans l'avenue...
Il ne nous fait pas peur.
l'orage est dans la nue,
L'amour dans notre cœur.

En notre nid de lierre
Qu'il fasse nuit ou jour !
A quoi bon la lumière
Quand brille notre amour ?
Que nous importe l'heure
Et le temps, et les cieux,
Et le grand vent qui pleure,
Nous nous aimons ! c'est mieux.
