Legt rote Rosen mir um meine Stirne, im Festgewande will ich von euch gehn, und stoßt die Fenster auf, dass die Gestirne mit heiterm Lächeln auf mein Lager sehn. Und dann Musik! Und während Lieder schallen, von Hand zu Hand der Abschiedsbecher blinkt, mag mählich über mich der Vorhang fallen, wie Sommernacht auf reife Felder sinkt.
