Avez-vous vu, par les prés De mille fleurs diaprés, En sa démarche légère Passer ma bergère ? Sur ses pas l'amour naît, Et mon cœur est fidèle, Alors qu'on la connait, On ne peut aimer qu'elle. Hélas, quel est mon tourment, Elle trahit son serment Et repousse ma tendresse, L'ingrate maitresse ! Mais malgré ses mépris Je lui reste fidèle, Mon cœur toujours épris Ne cherche et n'aime qu'elle.
