O Sonnenschein! Du herrlicher, glühender Sonnenschein ! O ziehe du auch herein zu mir, mein ganzes Haus eröffn' ich dir! Ich öffne dir jedes Kämmerlein, du ruhig freundlicher Sonnenschein, ich öffne dir selbst mein ganzes Herz mit all seiner Lust und seinem Schmerz. Und hast du dich recht bei mir umgeseh'n, so magst du zu ihr, zu ihr auch geh'n, und grüße sie viel tausendmal, hauch' den Frieden ins Herz ihr, den sie mir stahl. Weck', leuchte der Liebe, der Lieb' in ihr, und nie und nimmer vergess' ich's dir, und dreimal sollst du mir geheiligt sein, du herrlicher, goldener Sonnenschein!
