by Lulu von Strauss und Torney (1873 - 1956)

Marien Kind im Stalle
Language: German (Deutsch)
Marien Kind im Stalle
weint im kalten Wind;
der fährt durch Fluren ein und aus;
doch weiße Englein, lockenkraus,
die lugen zum Gebälk heraus,
und singen, singen alle:
Schlaf, Marien Kind!

Marien Kind in der Krippen
schlummert hart auf Stroh.
Marien Kleid ist linnenrein,
Marien Haar hat gelben Schein,
sie wiegt ihr heilig Kindlein ein,
sie küsst des Knaben Lippen,
weint und ist doch froh.
