Ihr Ritter und ihr Frauen zart, so roth von Mund und Wang, und junge Knappen edler Art, horcht alle meine Sang! Seyd eurem Liebchen treu und hold, und diehnt ihr um den Minnesold, so seys auf Lebenlang. Dem Mann, der ohne Liebe bleibt und doch von innerm Drang sich rastlos hin und wieder treibt, ist in der Haut so bang! Ist alles ihm so kalt, so todt; er ist wie Wangen ohne Roth, und Geiger ohne Klang. Doch Liebe sonder Ehre wär' ein Demani ohne Glanz, ein Sommerwölckchen, bunt und leer, ein dürrer Blumenkranz. Ein Biederherz ist wahr und frey, und wenn es liebt, so liebt es treu, und giebt sich rein und ganz: So seys auf Lebenlang.
