by Friedrich Maximilian Klinger (1752 - 1831)

Die Erscheinung
Language: German (Deutsch)
Heiter kehrest du, o Licht!
Und ein helles Strählchen bricht
Aus der dumpfen Nacht hervor,
Hebt mein leidend Herz empor.

Es erschien ein Engelskind,
Rührte meine Seele schwind!
Und die Trauer schwand dahin,
Selig, selig nun ich bin!

Selig, selig werd ich seyn,
Wenn die Liebe mich wiegt ein,
Wenn die Lieb' den Trauersinn
Wandelt mir in Freudensinn!

Glänze ferner durch die Nacht,
Liebe, süsse Zaubermacht!
Hülle mich, o Zauber, ein!
Selig, selig werd' ich seyn!
