You can help us modernize! The present website has been online for a very long time and we want to bring it up to date. As of May 6, we are $2,380 away from our goal of $15,000 to fund the project. The fully redesigned site will be better for mobile, easier to read and navigate, and ready for the next decade. Please give today to join dozens of other supporters in making this important overhaul possible!

Ich wollte stehen bleiben,
es trieb mich wieder weiter,
vorbei an schwarzen Bäumen
doch unter schwarzen Bäumen
woll't ich schnell stehen bleiben,
es trieb mich wieder weiter,
vorbei an grünen Wiesen,
doch an den grünen Wiesen
wollt' ich nur stehen bleiben,
es trieb mich wieder weiter,
vorbei an armen Häuschen,
bei einem dieser Häuschen
möcht' ich doch stehen bleiben,
betrachtend seine Armut,
und wie sein Rauch gemächlich
zum Himmel steigt, ich möchte
jetzt lange stehen bleiben.
Dies sagte ich und lachte,
das Grün der Wiesen lachte,
der Rauch stieg räuchlich lächelnd,
es trieb mich wieder weiter.
