Schon funkelt das Feld wie geschliffen,
Es ist der lustige Morgenwind,
Der kommt durch den Wald gepfiffen.

Ein Wandervöglein, die Wolken und ich,
Wir reisten um die Wette,
Und jedes dacht: nun spute dich,
Wir treffen sie noch im Bette!

Da sind wir nun, jetzt alle heraus,
Die drin noch Küsse tauschen!
Wir brechen sonst mit der Tür ins Haus:
Klang, Duft und Waldesrauschen.

Ich komme aus Italien fern
Und will euch alles berichten,
Vom Berg Vesuv und Romas Stern
Die alten Wundergeschichten.

Da singt eine Fei auf blauem Meer,
