Give me one hour
Language: English
Give me one hour the years are young.
There is all life to throw away,
And all life's songs are to be sung
Sing me one song to-day, to-day.

Here with the green trees and blue sky
And winds about the woodland driven
Can we let such a moment by
As this, and hope to be forgiven ?

O laughing eyes and serious brow,
And mouth almost too sweet to kiss,
Never was such a time as now.
Such opportunity as this !

Give me your hands I 'll hold them long ;
Give me your lips I 'll hold them fast ;
Oh ! there 'll be time enough for song
Between the first kiss and the last !
