by Otto Erich Hartleben (1864 - 1905)

Scheltet das nicht Abenteuer
Language: German (Deutsch)
Scheltet das nicht Abenteuer,
was, aus Frühlingsnacht geboren,
Sehnsucht sich geformt zu neuer
Wünsche Bild -- nie mehr verloren. --

Ob ich mich ans Ende wage,
bin ich dennoch zu beneiden,
denn ich lernte solcher Tage
diese neue Lust zu leiden. --

Neid und Liebe sind nur Lügen
für ein allesfühlend Herz --
sich genügen -- selbst genügen --
endlos -- niegebüsster Schmerz.
