Ich mag so gerne liegen am Hügel in der Nacht
und schau'n in dunkler Höhe die goldne Sternenpracht.
Ich mag so gerne schauen der Rosen sanften Schein
in ihrem Dufte schwelgend von Herzen fröhlich sein.

Ich mag so gerne lauschen im Hain im Dämmerlicht,
vertrauten fernen Tönen daraus die Sehnsucht spricht.
Und doch in deiner Nähe was ist dies Alles mir,
was Sterne, Blumen, Töne bei Blick und Wort von dir?
