Translation by Wilhelm Wackernagel (1806 - 1869)

Die Blum in Waldesschlüften
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Unknown Language
Die Blum in Waldesschlüften,
Das Gold in Erdenklüften,
Des Himmels Dach, des Meeres Grund,
Das alles ist Dir, Herre, kund
Und hütens Deine Hände,
Und alles himmelische Heer
Spricht Deine Treu und Güte nicht zu Ende.

Die Läuber an den Zweigen,
Die Halme die sich neigen,
Des Meeres Sand, der Sterne Schaar
Die bleiben unermeßen gar
Mit Augen und mit Sinnen:
So mag auch, Herre, Deinen Preis
Nie Menschenmund vollenden noch beginnen.
