Die drei Burschen

Language: German (Deutsch) after the Czech (Čeština)

Nah beim See am Waldessaum
steht ein grüner Lindenbaum,
und in der Linde grünend im Sonnenschein,
singen wohl drei Vögelein.

Vöglein nicht vom Waldrevier,
Burschen sind's, die plaudern hier,
plaudern vom Mägdlein, einem gar trauten Kind,
wer von ihnen sich's gewinnt.

Einer sagt: "Die laß ich nicht!"
"Wie Gott will!" der And're spricht,
und ach, der Dritte, der ruft der Trauten zu:
"Sprich, was bist so traurig du?"

"Einen alten Mann zu frei'n,
möchte das nicht traurig sein?
Muß d'rob mich grämen, gibt man mich solchem Weh,
Fröhlichkeit Ade, Ade!"
