Sehnsucht
Language: German (Deutsch)
Könnt' ich sie einmal treffen an
Im tiefen Wald, da Niemand ginge,
Es wär' um allen Schmerz gethan,
Ach daß es, daß es doch gelinge!

Wir schritten immer weiter ein,
Und sähen nimmermehr zurücke,
Und würden fein geborgen seyn,
Und scheuten keines Menschen Tücke.

Und Alle, die uns sonst gehöhnt,
Und schlimmen Sieg an uns erworben,
Sie wären Alle nun versöhnt,
Und sprächen sanft: Sie sind gestorben!
