Rycerze

Language: Polish (Polski)

Jak rycerze jechali na wojnę,
mieli konie bardzo niespokojne,
jedne za drugimi goniły,
złote podkowy gubiły.
A jak z wojenki wracali,
mieli w ranach ostrza zimnej stali,
a za wozem szły na palcach po cichutku
sliczne konie, osowiałe od smutku.

Ritter

Language: German (Deutsch) after the Polish (Polski)

Die Ritter zogen in die Schlacht -
dies hat die Pferde scheu gemacht:
auf ihrer ungestümen Jagd
sprangen die goldnen Eisen ab.
Heim kehrten die Ritter dazumal,
zerschnitten der Leib vom kalten Stahl.
Und hinter dem Wagen in lautlosem Tritt
zogen blanke Pferde trauernd mit.
