Dagen flyr, men i dess spår hjärtats sol för mig uppgår. Ty i kvällens rosensken syns hon där på sin balkong, lyssnar stilla till min sång: "Fagra sol, med glans så ren!" Blomman i sin hvita hand kastar hon til mig som svar, innan jag den fångat har, kommer natten, hon försvann.
