Light, wandering, murmuring wind

Language: English

Light, wandering, murmuring wind,
Setting the silvered leaves astir,
Leaving her southern home behind,
   Whisper of her.

White, moonlit clouds that through the sky
Like vague prophetic shadows err,
Shape in your mystic tracery
   Shadows of her.

Still, star-set, night, so calm and deep,
Watching the silent earth, that seems
Lost in the languor of kind sleep,
   Frame her in dreams.
