Junges Blut
Language: German (Deutsch)
Hätt' ich's nimmer doch gedacht,
Daß die Lieb' so traurig macht!
Mag nicht schlafen, mag nicht wachen,
Mag nicht weinen, mag nicht lachen.
  Traurig sitzen, einsam wallen,
  Ei, wem könnte das gefallen?
Junges Blut, [gib]1 Acht, gib Acht!

Hätt' ich's nimmer doch gedacht,
Daß die Lieb' so lustig macht!
  Habe einen Gruß gefangen
  Da sie mir vorbeigegangen;
  Augen blitzten, Lippen glühten,
  Und ein Duft, wie Veilchenblüthen...
Junges Blut, gib Acht, gib Acht!

Hätt' ich's nimmer doch gedacht,
Was die Lieb' aus mir [noch macht]2!
  Bald geseufzt und bald gesungen,
  Bald geklagt und bald gesprungen.
  Warm und kalt wie Märzensonne
  Wonneschmerzen, Schmerzenswonne,
Junges Blut, gib Acht, gib Acht!

Hätt' ich's nimmer doch gedacht!
Warme Lieb' kommt über Nacht.
  Eben noch in dunkler Hülle
  Nun in warmer, rother Fülle.
O wie voll im lichten Moose,
  Rosenliebe, Liebesrose --
Junges Blut, gib Acht, gib Acht!
