Le vent frais de l'aurore agite les lilas.
Néère, nue et blanche, et riant aux éclats,
Du bout d'un pied de neige, au bord de la rivière,
Agace le cristal de l'onde familière,
Cependant que, non loin, guettant l'âge nouveau,
Le satyre suspend son haleine au pipeau ;
Et l'enfant que sa grâce innocente décore,
Ignorante des mois, dans sa chair pure encore,
Prend le gâteau de miel du satyre rusé,
Qui prolonge en échange un étrange baiser.
