by Erik Meyer-Helmund (1861 - 1932)

Du fragst mich täglich
Language: German (Deutsch)
Du fragst mich täglich: "Liebchen, liebst du mich?"
Und tausendmal muß ich dir sagen:
"Ich liebe dich so inniglich;"
wozu das viele Fragen?

Ich hab' ja Alles dem Mond erzählt
von unserm Liebesgetriebe;
mein Schatz geh' hin und frag den Mond,
wie innig ich dich liebe!

Und sollte er's vergessen haben,
so frag' die goldnen Sternelein!
Ich weiht' sie eines Abends all'
in's süßeste Geheimniß ein.

Du fragst mich täglich: "Liebchen, liebst du mich?"
Und tausendmal muß ich dir sagen:
"Ich liebe dich so inniglich;"
wozu das viele Fragen?

Ich hab' ja ew'ge Treu versprochen dir
wohl unter heißen Wonneküssen,
in meinen Augen siehst du mehr
als Mond und Sterne wissen.
