Er jagt über Berg und tiefe Tal, Unter den Stauden überall. Sein Hörnlein tät er blasen, Sein Lieb wohl auf den Jäger harrt, Dort auf der grünen Straßen. Er spreit den Mantel in das Gras, Bat, daß sie zu ihm nieder saß, Mit weissem Arm umfangen: «Gehab dich wohl mein Trösterin, Nach dir steht mein Verlangen. Un alegre caçador està caçant, ell caça amb un ànim fresc l lliure sota els verds til·lers, caça sempre molts petits animals, amb els seus veloços llebrers. Ell caça damunt les muntanyes i a les profundes valls, sota els matossars, pertot arreu. Ell fa sonar el seu petit corn, l’estimada espera el caçador, allà, als verds viaranys. Ell estén el seu mantell damunt l’herba, i li demana de seure al seu costat, abraçat per els seus braços blancs, li diu: “Porta’t bé, tu, el meu confort, el meu afany és per tu. El gebre no ens mulla, la neu no ens refreda, al verd trèvol hi cremen encara dues petites roses a la prada, en la llum de l’amor, en la llum del sol, ambdues no han de ser separades.”
