Il voltige comme un feu follet Et se balance doucement, Son reflet dans le cercle Du lac qui oscille. Je regarde avec nostalgie Dans le bleu des vagues, Et salue le rayon Brillant réfléchi. Et je saute sur l'aviron, Et je pousse le bateau Là-bas sur la route Plate et de cristal. La belle bien-aimée se glisse discrètement Hors de sa chambre Et elle se dépêche vite Vers moi dans le bateau. Doucement alors le vent Nous pousse à nouveau Vers le lac loin des lilas De la rive. La brume pâle de la nuit Nous protège de son voile De ceux qui espionneraient ce silencieux Badinage innocent.
