4. Zimmerspruch  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Das neue Haus ist aufgericht't,
Gedeckt, gemauert ist es nicht,
Noch können Regen und Sonnenschein
Von oben und überall herein:
Drum rufen wir zum Meister der Welt,
Er wolle von dem Himmelszelt
Nur Heil und Segen gießen aus
Hier über dieses offne Haus.
Zuoberst woll er gut Gedeihn
In die Kornböden uns verleihn;

In die Stube Fleiß und Frömmigkeit,
In die Küche Maß und Reinlichkeit,
In den Stall Gesundheit allermeist,
In den Keller dem Wein einen guten Geist;
Die Fenster und Pforten woll er weihn,
Daß nichts Unseligs komm herein,
Und daß aus dieser neuen Tür
Bald fromme Kindlein springen für.
Nun, Maurer, decket und mauret aus!
Der Segen Gottes ist im Haus.
