 En la majestad invernal se elevaba
 su cabeza, de eternas nieves reluciente, 
 mientras el verano dormía 
 a sus pies, de flores circundado. 
 Para quien desde lo alto contemplara
 abajo aquella mágica región, 
 cuán bello parecería el mundo, 
 la intensa vida. En torno resplandece 
 la belleza de los jardines, el brillo de las olas, 
 en las riveras dorados frutos,
 más hermosos a la luz del Sol,
 y luego el rumor de mil voces,
 la antigua flauta del pastor, el zumbido
 de las abejas en la Tierra Prometida,
