sitzt sie traumverloren;
schön ist der Schatten, als spiegelte ein Engel sich in ihm …

Der Schatten fällt, das Wäldchen schlummert;
zwischen Blattwerk und Gezweig,
auf blauem Paradiese tut sich ein gold’nes auf.

Und am Gestade rollt eine letzte, ferne Woge aus.
Gerade noch sang eine Stimme, die jetzt raunt …
Das Raunen haucht sich aus, erstirbt zuletzt.

In diese Stille fallen Blütenblätter …
