Ein klein Vöglein wär' ich gern
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Ein klein Vöglein wär' ich gern,
Schwirrt' um meinen guten Herrn.
Honig hat er auf den Lippen,
Und ich dürfte davon nippen;
Wann ich wollte, könnt' ich's wagen,
Niemals würd' er mich verjagen.
Und zum Dank pfiff' ich ihm Lieder
Stolz von seiner Schulter nieder.
Käm‘ der liebe Mondenschein,
Schlief' in seiner Hand ich ein -
Wär' ich nur sein Vöglein klein!

Je voudrais être un petit oiseau
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Je voudrais être un petit oiseau
Je tourbillonnerais autour de mon bon seigneur.
Il aurait du miel sur les lèvres
Et je pourrais le buvoter;
Je pourrais oser le faire quand je voudrais,
Jamais il ne me chasserait.
Pour le remercier je lui sifflerais des chansons,
Fier du haut de son épaule.
Quand viendrait le cher clair de lune
Je m'endormirais dans sa main –
Si seulement j'étais un petit oiseau!
