Canant mortales iubilent hodie
& sancti gloriam promant cum gaudio.
Nulla sint tristia cuncta laetissima.
De celis splendet lux radiatur Ecclesia
totus denique mundus illius meritis illustratur.
In terris mirabilia in Celis Grandia
fecit iste Sanctus mundum calcavit.
Deum dilexit & ideo in Celis letatur
Deum dilexit & ideo perfusus gloria pro nobis intercedit.
Alleluia.

Aujourd'hui se lève. Pour tous les confesseurs

Aujourd'hui se lève pour nous une lumière, une mémoire revient,
un jour de fête s'avance, le jour céleste de saint Jérôme.
Que les mortels chantent, qu'aujourd'hui ils se réjouissent,
qu'ils expriment la gloire du saint avec joie.
Qu'il n'y ait aucune tristesse, que tous soient joyeux.
Du ciel la lumière brille, l'église rayonne 
et le monde entier est illuminé  par ses mérites.
Sur terre, au ciel, des grands miracles 
ce saint accomplit quand il foulait le monde.
Il aima Dieu et par cela il repose au ciel.
Il aima Dieu et par cela inondé de gloire il intercède pour nous.
Alléluia.
