Cantilena

Language: Spanish (Español)

Por un alegre prado
de flores esmaltado,
y de una clara fuente
con la dulce corriente
de aljófares regado;
mi dueño idolatrado
iba cogiendo flores
más bella y más lozana
que ninfa de Diana.
Los risueños amores
En torno la cercaban,
y en su falda jugaban.

Y en tanto que ella, Hermosa,
ora un clavel cogía,
ora una linda rosa,
ora un tierno jacinto,
más flores producía
aquel fresco recinto
orgulloso y ufano;
pues al punto otras tantas,
como tronchó la mano
de mi dueño tirano,
brotaron a sus plantas.

Cantilène

Language: French (Français) after the Spanish (Español)

Par une belle prairie
Décorée de fleurs
Et que d'une source claire
Le doux courant
Arrose de perles,
Ma maîtresse adorée
Allait cueillant des fleurs,
Plus belle et plus fraîche
Qu'une nymphe de Diane.
Des amours rieurs
L'entouraient
Et jouaient dans sa jupe.

Et pendant qu'elle, si belle,
Cueillait un œillet,
Une belle rose,
Une douce jacinthe,
Plus de fleurs produisait
Cet espace frais,
Orgueilleux et fier.
Car un aussi grand nombre
Que coupaient la main
De ma maîtresse impitoyable
Jaillissaient à ses pieds.
