Väl den som gudar har
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Our translations:  FRE GER
Väl den som gudar har
Väl den som gudar har:
han har ett hem.
Tröst och en tryggad grund
skänks blott av dem.

Vig dig till kämpe
vid en altarrund.
Frälst är din själ
i bönens stund.

Vilan dig väntar
blott i strid.
Först mellan sköldarna
givs det frid.

Tvång till blanka vapen,
fara och tro --
så blir ett hem dig rett,
där du kan bo.

Wohl dem, der Götter hat
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Swedish (Svenska)
Wohl dem, der Götter hat:
Er hat ein Heim.
Trost, einen sichern Grund
schenken sie allein.

Weih dich dem Kampfe
dort am Altar.
Heilung der Seele
beim Beten erfahr.

Denn nur im Streite
erwartet dich Ruh.
Erst zwischen Schildern
kommt Friede dir zu.

Zieh blank deine Waffen ,
trau dich, schreit fort, -
dann steht für dich bereit
ein sich’rer Hort.
