Mots d'amour
Language: French (Français)
Available translation(s): ENG

Words of Love
Language: English  after the French (Français)
When the words I say to you are weary,
it's their pain that makes their charms!
They stammer, and that is sufficient:
the words shed tears.
When the words I say to you are ardent,
they burn my heart and my lips.
They make your very being catch fire:
the words have fevers.
But whatever they are like, the divine words,
the only ones that women listen to,
the words, in their sighing or sobbing,
have souls.
