by Karl Ziegler (1812 - 1877)

Frühlingsankunft
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Es ist mein Herz verengt, verdorrt,
Bedeckt mit Nacht, ein wüster Ort.
Kaum findet Platz ein finstrer Traum,
Es ächzt der Schmerz im engen Raum.
Da kommt der Lenz; die Luft lau,
Die Wälder grün, der Himmel blau,
Die ganze Erd' ein Blumenstrauss;
Es dehnt die Brust sich mächtig aus.
Die Welt so schön, das Herz so weit,
Ström in mein Herz, Weltherrlichkeit!
