Im Frühling
Language: German (Deutsch) 
Es kehret der Frühling, es grünet die Au,
die Bluten erglänzen im schimmernden Tau.
Es strahlet die sonne so lieblich und mild,
erwärmend, belebend das grüne Gefild,
doch mir lässt das alles umfassende Glück
nur Tränen zurück.

Es duftet so lieblich die lachende Flur,
und Wonne durchströmet die ganze Natur.
Manch Blümchen erblühet vom Bache bespült,
nachdem es sich kosend die Wange bespült;
doch mir ruft die Welle im rieselnden Bach
nur Seufzer nach.

Es wehet ein Lüftchen im Abendschein
und ladet zu träumen die Seele ein.
Es schwindet der Tag. Die Nacht entsinkt,
zur ruhe der dämmernden Erde sie winkt;
doch meinen Kummer verscheuchet kein Traum
die Hoffnung kaum.
