Damals spannt' den schweren Bogen

Des Jagdhorns Ruf nun umsonst mir erschallt -

Dort die Schwelle meiner Lieben,
Wo ich nächtlich Lieder sang.
Kaum ein Hauch ist mir geblieben
Von dem reichen Liebesklang.
