Serenade des Troubadours
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG
Auswendig kennt er all meine Lieder,

Serenade of the troubadour
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
For two long hours I've been standing in front of your door
And I am singing the new song: "Darling, come to me!"
The moon looks down upon me with a smile,
He knows all of my songs by heart;
Evening after evening he sees me standing there,
Night after night he hears me pleading!
When the sun is just appearing, I creep home,
The audacious sparrows laugh at me,
"My lovely darling, ah, come to me:
If you do not wish to, then let me come to you!"
