by Joseph Karl Benedikt, Freiherr von Eichendorff (1788 - 1857)

Valet
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ade nun, liebe Lieder,
Ade, du schöner Sang!
Nun sing ich wohl nicht wieder
Vielleicht mein Leben lang.

Einst blüht' von Gottes Odem
Die Welt so wunderreich,
Da in den grünen Boden
Senkt ich als Reiser euch.

Jetzt eure Wipfel schwanken
So kühle über mir,
Ich stehe in Gedanken
Gleichwie im Walde hier.

Da muß ich oft noch lauschen
In meiner Einsamkeit,
Und denk bei eurem Rauschen
Der schönen Jugendzeit.
