Je voudrais plutôt être dans la cavalerie,
Un bon sabre à mon côté,
Un luth dans ma main droite,
Un cœur d'étudiant pour la bataille.
La vie est un cheval sauvage
Avec des sabots qui lancent des étincelles,
Celui qui ose honnêtement le dominera
Et où qu'il aille, on l'entendra !
