Nun ist verwelkt der Fliederbaum, Der mich verbarg am Wiesensaum, Damit der Neid das Plätzchen flieht, Und uns im Glück kein Lauscher sieht. Des Baumes Ast ist dürr und leer, Ach, Gott, ich brauch' ihn so nicht mehr! Vorbei ist Glück und Hoffnungstraum! Nun ist er welk, der Fliederbaum.
