Auf blauer Fluth
Language: German (Deutsch)
Purpurner Himmel, goldige Gluth,
Säuselnder Lenzhauch, tiefblaue Fluth!
Waldige Höhen, blumiger Strand,
Goldübergossen Wellen und Land!

Schaukelnder Nachen segelgeschwellt,
Jugend und Schönheit, lieblich gesellt,
Fröhlich gesungen aus voller Brust:
Reines Entzücken! Himmlische Lust!

Endlos der Hoffnung rosiger Glanz!
[obviously a line left out here!]
Heimliche Zwiesprach leuchtend im Blick
Seliges Träumen, jauchzendes Glück!

Mond kommt gezogen in silberner Pracht,
Nachtigalllieder, sternige Nacht!
O gings durchs Leben immer so fort,
Wellengetragen zum Sternenport!
