You can help us modernize! The present website has been online for a very long time and we want to bring it up to date. As of May 6, we are $2,380 away from our goal of $15,000 to fund the project. The fully redesigned site will be better for mobile, easier to read and navigate, and ready for the next decade. Please give today to join dozens of other supporters in making this important overhaul possible!

Der Engel

Language: German (Deutsch)

In der Kindheit frühen Tagen
Hört ich oft von Engeln sagen,
Die des Himmels hehre Wonne
Tauschen mit der Erdensonne,

Daß, wo bang ein Herz in Sorgen
Schmachtet vor der Welt verborgen,
Daß, wo still es will verbluten,

Engelen

Language: Norwegian (Nynorsk) after the German (Deutsch)

I min tidlege ungdom høyrde eg
ofte forteljingar om englar
som gav avkall på himmelens fryd
mot solskinet på jorda.

Når eit hjarte er i sorg
og gøymer smerta si frå verda,
og blør i einsemd og forgår
i stille tåreflaum,

frå all smerte opp til himmelen.
